Job summary

iPeople SC Solutions is recruiting a Supported Pathway Officer to work with our client based in Southwark and surrounding areas. The role focuses on helping residents secure housing, providing resettlement support and using trauma-informed approaches to break cycles of homelessness.

The post holder will provide assertive, client-centred support, linking residents to services and activities to improve wellbeing and life skills. DBS update service is required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in a hostel.
• Experience with adults with alcohol addictions.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service.
• Knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experiences and Trauma Informed Care when dealing with homeless people with complex needs.
• Experience of recovery-focused and harm minimisation service provision for clients with multiple and complex needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide assertive client-centred key-working and risk assessment for a caseload of residents.
• Support residents to maintain accommodation and link to services and activities.
• Develop and implement client-centred support plans and pathways for housing.
• Coordinate access to services to support independent living and tenancy sustainment.
• Encourage engagement in activities to reduce social isolation and build confidence.
• Advocate for residents and arrange necessary appointments with health, DWP, etc.
• Conduct risk assessments and safety planning for new residents and evictions as required.
• Participate in hostel matters and respond to suggestions and complaints.
