Job summary

Compass Community Schools is seeking a Headteacher to lead a nurturing, trauma-informed school. You will coordinate delivery of a holistic curriculum, manage staff, and provide authentic leadership that engages pupils, families and partners.

The role includes teaching approximately 0.4 of the timetable and developing innovative learning experiences. The ideal candidate holds QTS, has SEMH/SEND experience, can teach Maths and English to GCSE level, and can design creative, rigorous curricula

Qualifications

• Must hold QTS with a proven record of good or outstanding teaching.
• Experience with SEMH & SEND, crisis management and behaviour support.
• Ability to teach Maths and/or English to GCSE level and deliver Vocational/ELC courses.
• Experience designing engaging curriculums and leading teams.
• Driven to engage in all aspects of school life with resilience.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of a holistic curriculum placing pupils at the centre.
• Coordinate staff and deliver clear, inspirational leadership.
• Deliver teaching for 0.4 of the timetable and model best practice.
• Work with professionals networks to secure outstanding outcomes.
