Job summary

Fair Ways is a leading children’s services charity based in the Solent, delivering fostering, education, residential and family services. We are seeking a Team Leader - Family Services on a 1-year contract to oversee the Family Centre and lead a dedicated team in delivering high-quality care and safeguarding.

The role requires driving safe practice, supporting complex cases, and developing staff through reflective supervision and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Experience with safeguarding regulations and best practices.
• Experience leading teams and supervising staff in front-line services.
• Understanding of trauma-informed care and child protection frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Keep children and families safe by monitoring safeguarding and practice within the Family Centre.
• Play an active leadership role within the Family Centre leadership team and oversee risk factors.
• Contribute to formal parenting assessments and monitor family impact and safety.
• Line manage direct reports with reflective supervision and development plans.
• Model trauma-informed responses and ensure a safe, supportive environment for families.
• Maintain professional boundaries while supporting parents and children.
