Job summary

Fair Ways in the Solent region is expanding its Residential Family Centres and seeks a Team Leader to drive safety, quality and trauma-informed care for children and families. You will lead a small team, ensure safeguarding compliance, contribute to parenting assessments, and maintain a supportive, professional environment while developing staff through supervision and training.

This is a full-time role with a 37.5-hour week, requires a driving licence and DBS; you will join a dedicated charity

Qualifications

• Minimum of Level 3 NVQ in Children and Young People Workforce or working towards it.
• Knowledge of safeguarding legislation and practice for looked-after children and family court care.
• Understanding safeguarding adults legislation is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Keep children and families safe and oversee safeguarding practices.
• Provide leadership within the Family Centre and supervise staff.
• Contribute to formal parenting assessments with colleagues.
• Model trauma-informed responses and maintain a supportive environment.
