Job summary

Hampshire County Council’s Secure and Specialist Education Service seeks a Senior Tutor to lead high-quality, inclusive education for children and young people with complex needs at Swanwick Lodge. You will inspire learners to engage, achieve outcomes and progress, while guiding Tutors and Learning Coaches in a trauma-informed, relationship-based approach.

Based at Swanwick Lodge, you will lead curriculum development, monitor progress, and collaborate with partners to secure positive learner

Qualifications

• Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills Level 5+ or equivalent.
• Degree or postgraduate qualification in a relevant subject.
• Experience delivering high-quality education in a relevant setting.
• Experience leading or managing staff.
• Strong knowledge of education standards, QA and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Tutors and Learning Coaches to deliver learning programmes.
• Develop and review curriculum provision to meet diverse learner needs.
• Monitor learner progress and share effective practice.
• Line manage staff and support professional development.
• Collaborate with colleagues and partner agencies for positive learner outcomes.
• Promote safeguarding, inclusion and learner wellbeing across provision.
• Contribute to quality assurance activities and service development.
• Ensure resources and data support delivery and compliance.
