Job summary

CNTW NHS Foundation Trust is seeking two Band 6 Community Practitioners for the NEWST team based in Northumberland. The role focuses on trauma-informed practice, working with children, young people, and families across Health and Social Care to improve outcomes.

You will work within a specialist clinical team, extending services to Family Help, Edge of Care, and Children in Care cohorts while collaborating with professionals across systems to support development and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to assess complex cases in a safeguarding context.
• Experience of trauma-informed practice and CAMHS considerations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for multi-agency consultations.
• Ability to lead and support colleagues and trainees within a clinical setting.
• Knowledge of professional accountability and local/national guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to developing clinical understanding of children and young people\'s needs through consultation and assessment.
• Provide therapeutic approaches and risk management within a Trauma-Informed framework.
• Collaborate with social care, health, and partner agencies to promote safe, stable relationships and long-term wellbeing.
• Deliver training and provide supervision or induction to staff where appropriate.
