Job summary

The Learning Community Trust is seeking a calm and dependable Behaviour Support Worker at Queensway School, Telford, to support pupils with SEMH and related needs. The role covers North and South sites, 32.5 hours per week within term time (38 weeks) plus PD days, with a focus on safe movement, emotional regulation and positive transitions.

Salary on NJC Scale 6, points 18–22 (£24,505 - £26,184). Closing date 12 October, interviews in w/c 19 October.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and young people in education, specialist provision, youth, care or similar settings.

Responsibilities

• Help pupils move safely around school and provide proactive support during transitions and dysregulation incidents.
• Apply behaviour support plans, risk assessments and regulation strategies consistently with safeguarding procedures.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to a calm, trauma-aware and restorative environment.
