Job summary

Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Data Coordinator to support the National Major Trauma Registry (NMTR) data collection for the Southmead Hospital Adult Major Trauma Centre. You will extract, interpret and submit clinical information from patient records in line with NMTR requirements and national deadlines.

Qualifications

• GCSE English Language and Mathematics at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent qualification
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• IT skills or qualifications to ECDL/RSA standard, or equivalent experience
• Desirable: Relevant qualification in administration, data management or a related subject
• Experience of data entry, data validation and information retrieval
• Experience of working with electronic databases and information systems

Responsibilities

• Enter NMTR eligible patients’ details and submit before deadlines.
• Interpret and consolidate information from multiple sources for accurate NMTR records.
• Support clinical team in identifying major trauma episodes and input into the tracking database.
• Liaise with other hospitals to retrieve required information.
• Ensure completion of all data set requirements and resolve discrepancies.
