Job summary

Frontier Economics is seeking a Practice Manager for the Transport & Water practice to shape operations, align strategy, and support senior economists. You will manage finances, planning, and people while driving improvements and client-facing initiatives.

The role combines strategic oversight with hands-on execution, working with HR, resource managers and practice directors across Frontier’s offices. Hybrid working and a strong, inclusive culture are offered.

Responsibilities

• Practice management and strategy: ensure smooth running of the practice, translate strategic priorities into action, support business planning.
• Financial and management information: provide clear financial data and monitor finances to support decision-making.
• People and workforce planning: collaborate on recruitment, onboarding, and development.
• People management: line manage staff, support performance and development.
• Learning and development: support L&D plans and Career Development Reviews.
• Continuous improvement: identify and lead process improvements within the practice.
• Business development: support events, marketing activities and client feedback programmes.
• Collaborate across Frontier to share best practices and solve problems.
