About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Team Manager to join our team based in Daresbury.

Shift pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:00 - 16:00

How will you contribute?

1. You will be responsible for a team of up to 100 Drivers as well as administrators, and for running cost-effective daily Transport plans.
2. Overseeing vehicle defects and repairs, ensuring thorough vehicle reports are created.
3. Ensuring Health & Safety measures are adhered to at a high standard for all employees on shift.
4. Monitoring Transport Utilisation Plans (TUPs), compliance, and handling general administrative duties in line with transport legislation, company policy, and procedures.
5. Managing disciplinary actions, investigations, behavioural audits, and absence management.
6. Maintaining good customer/client engagement skills to liaise with your team and Senior Management, ensuring smooth service operations and high-standard reporting.

What will you bring?

1. Pre-existing management experience is advantageous, along with any existing Transport knowledge.
2. An organized, hard-working individual capable of working independently and as part of a team.
3. Effective communication skills and the ability to develop good working relationships at all levels within the Transport Team, including confident interaction with customers.
4. Ability to think quickly in a fast-paced environment.
5. PC literacy.
6. Transport Management CPC (national and international) preferred.
