About the Role:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Team Manager to join our team based in Daresbury on the Night Shift!

Shift pattern: Sunday - Thursday, 22:00 - 06:00

How will you contribute?
  • You will be responsible for a team of up to 50 Drivers as well as administrators, and for running cost-effective daily Transport plans.
  • Overseeing vehicle defects and repairs, ensuring thorough vehicle reports are created.
  • Ensuring Health & Safety measures are adhered to at a high standard for all employees on shift.
  • Monitoring TUPs, compliance, and handling general administration duties in line with transport legislation, company policies, and procedures.
  • Managing disciplinaries, investigations, behavioral audits, and absence management.
  • Maintaining good customer/client engagement skills to liaise with your team and senior management, ensuring smooth service operations and high-standard reporting.
What will you bring?
  • Pre-existing management experience is advantageous, along with any existing Transport knowledge.
  • An organized, hardworking individual capable of working independently and effectively as part of a team.
  • Effective communication skills to develop good working relationships at all levels within the Transport Team and with customers.
  • The ability to think quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • PC literacy.
  • Transport Management CPC (national and international) preferred.
