Overview:

Full time, permanent position (4 on 4 off, alternating day shift and night shift every two weeks)

As a Transport Team Manager at Food Service Logistics, you will be responsible for managing an operational division for Starbucks, overseeing drivers and activities to ensure we meet and exceed our clients' expectations.

The role is based at our Coventry Depot.

You will handle fleet management, including administrative tasks, and ensure your team is informed about workplace health and safety policies.

HGV knowledge and transport managerial experience are required.

Salary - £40,817.46 plus night shift allowance.

Main responsibilities include:

• Managing fleet/HGV operations across various vehicles.
• Controlling expenses and overseeing operational needs.
• Ensuring compliance with all legislative regulations, including operator license, drivers’ hours, tachograph infringements, and working time.
• Reporting and investigating accidents and incidents.
• Conducting performance reviews and managing challenging conversations with drivers.
• Addressing ER issues promptly, liaising with HR and management to ensure effective outcomes.

Criteria:

• Proven experience with multi-drop deliveries and planning.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Significant managerial experience in Transport or Logistics.
• Understanding of reporting and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of Transport management systems.
• Experience investigating vehicle accidents per FSL procedures.
• Experience managing disciplinary, grievance, or absence reviews.
• Team-oriented mindset and good teamwork skills.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
