Job summary

Culina Logisticsis seeking a Transport Team Leader to supervise the Transport Operations Team and the driver team, planning company and third-party resources and ensuring clear instructions and full utilisation of vehicles and drivers.

The role includes a Sunday to Thursday night shift, 17:00–01:30, with duties spanning load allocation, liaising with hauliers, and adherence to tachograph rules and health and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience in FMCG environment and transport operations.
• Strong communication to provide accurate information.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Allocate drivers and vehicles to loads for maximum efficiency.
• Plan driver start times to meet despatch KPIs.
• Coordinate with third-party hauliers for on-time collections.
• Liaise with shunting operations for pre-loading/unloading.
• Communicate start times, load details, and directions clearly to drivers.
• Ensure orders are dispatched and delivered per customer specs.
• Maintain service levels with other departments and manage delays.
• Allocate equipment for maintenance as scheduled by the planner.
• Comply with Health & Safety policies and report accidents.
