Culina, the UK's leading independent supply chain partner, is seeking a Transport Planner to oversee day-to-day planning of the transport operation. You’ll work within a fast-paced environment, coordinating 400+ orders and 100 daily collections across multiple UK depots.

You’ll need strong UK geography knowledge, TMS experience, and Excel proficiency, with excellent communication to drive KPI performance and continuous improvements.

Competenze

• Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience using a Transport Management System (TMS).
• Experience in FMCG environments and planning 100+ tractor units.
• Excellent communication and ability to work under pressure.

Mansioni

• Work with Transport and Warehouse teams to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS.
• Assemble 400+ consolidated orders into loads every 24 hours.
• Subcontract and plan orders from multiple facilities and sites across the UK.
• Plan daily workload of fleet based on site and outbases.
• Report problems and handle queries that arise.
• Plan approximately 100 collections per day on a time critical basis.
• Maintain and exceed agreed KPIs.
• Proactively seek continuous improvements.
• Make decisions under pressure within tight timescales.
• Be flexible and adaptable to meet business needs, especially at peak periods.
• Utilise Culina Group network in support Warrens when volumes dictate.

Contributing to the success of the transport team, you will be responsible for completing and overseeing the day-to-day planning function of the transport operation. A highly motivated and driven individual, you will be experienced at working in a quick and fast-paced environment and be able to deal with day to day challenges in providing an effective transport plan.

Responsibilities

• Work with Transport and Warehouse teams, to create an efficient transport plan using the latest TMS
• Assembling of 400+ consolidated orders into loads in every 24hr period
• Subcontracting and planning orders from multiple warehouse facilities and manufacturing sites across the UK
• Planning daily workload of fleet: vehicles based on site and outbases
• Reporting problems and dealing with issues and any queries that may arise
• Planning approx. 100 collections per day on a time critical basis
• Maintaining and exceeding agreed KPI's
• Proactively look for continuous improvements
• Be able to make decisions under pressure and to a tight timescale
• Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working in order to meet the requirements of the business particularly at peak periods during the year
• Efficiently utilise the Culina Group network in support Warrens when volumes dictate

What you’ll need …

• Good geographical knowledge of the UK
• Proficient in computer literacy including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint, Work and Outlook
• CPC Desirable but not required
• Experience of planning 100+ tractor units across multiple depots
• Excellent communication skills and ability to succeed in a pressurised environment
• Customer focus on delivery performance
• Commercially and Financially astute and driven to deliver exceptional results.
• Experience of using a TMS system
• Experience in an FMCG environment
• Strong analytical and excel capability across standard formulasv
