About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to join a busy distribution company in Tamworth. You will oversee daily transport operations, ensuring efficient delivery of goods nationwide, leading drivers and support staff, and maintaining compliance and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Supervise daily transport activities, including route planning and driver briefings.
  2. Manage and support drivers, ensuring compliance with legislation and company policies.
  3. Monitor performance metrics such as delivery times, fuel usage, and customer satisfaction.
  4. Coordinate with warehouse and customer service teams for seamless operations.
  5. Identify opportunities for process improvements.
  6. Ensure vehicle compliance and liaise with maintenance providers.
Requirements:
  1. Previous supervisory experience in transport or logistics.
  2. Knowledge of transport legislation and driver regulations.
  3. Strong communication and leadership skills.
  4. Proactive problem-solving ability and attention to detail.
  5. IT proficiency, especially with Transport Management Systems (TMS).
  6. CPC qualification is desirable but not essential.
