Job summary

Thames Water are seeking an experienced Transport Supervisor to lead our Logistics Management Centre team, supporting the Transport Manager to ensure reliable daily operations. You'll supervise drivers handling waste and water tankers, HIAB operations, and vans across multiple sites from White Waltham to Maidenhead.

The role is a fixed-term contract for at least six months with a company van provided, a competitive salary up to £52,000, and a benefits package including pension and health options.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of drivers in a logistics or transport setting.
• Extensive knowledge of operating tankers and HIAB equipment.
• Knowledge of Drivers' Hours rules and Working Time regulations.
• HGV licence with Tacho and CPC desired.
• UK drivers licence and willingness to travel to multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day running of the logistics centre and support the Transport Manager.
• Train and assess drivers, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
• Ensure vehicles are compliant, maintained, and defect reporting is actioned.
• Oversee safe loading/unloading and fuel-efficient driving practices.
• Monitor driver performance and be the main point of contact for the LMC team.
