Job summary

Wolseley Group in Measham is seeking a Transport Manager to lead a team of drivers and ensure safe, compliant operations. You will optimise routes, monitor KPIs and partner with our Transport Solutions team to meet weekly targets.

Qualifications

• Certificate of Professional Competence in Transport.
• Experience in a Transport Manager role.
• Clear and demonstrable understanding of transport legislation.
• Ability to direct, coordinate and develop a team.
• Ability to manage stakeholder relationships (internal and external) at a mid-level.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate a team of drivers while complying with health and safety regulations.
• Ensure compliance with the Road Traffic Act and other regulations.
• Meet weekly/monthly targets using route planning and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with Transport Solutions team to produce KPI data on time.
• Take accountability for Operator Licence undertakings.
• Coordinate with Warehouse Operations for load sequencing and dispatch.

As a Transport Manager based in Measham you’ll be responsible for:

• Managing and coordinating a team of drivers to ensure all comply with health and safety regulations.
• Ensuring the department complies with the Road Traffic Act and all legal regulations
• Ensuring operational targets are met on a weekly and monthly basis, through effective use of the route planning system and management reporting tools
• Working closely with the Transport Solution’s Team to ensure KPI data is produced to the deadline accurately.
• Accountability for Operator Licence undertakings
• Ensuring strong coordination with Warehouse Operations so load sequencing, wave planning, and dispatch processes run in sync.

This is a full-time, permanent role working 40 hours per week Monday to Friday
