Job summary

Pertemps Bond in Cardiff is seeking a Transport Supervisor to join the busy transport team on a full-time, on-site basis. The role involves managing on-site contractors, performing daily checks, and acting as the liaison for transport queries while supporting the Transport Operations Manager.

Ideal candidates will have 1–2 years of transport experience, previous supervisory exposure, and strong communication skills. Proficiency in Excel/Outlook is required; training is provided.

• WTS experience is desirable
• Full training provided

Responsibilities

• Perform end of day checks and ensure keys are securely stored
• Communicate absences or VOR to Planning Team
• Enter Quality Events on the WTS System
• Represent the Transport Operation in daily Ops calls
• Serve as liaison for transport queries and act as a contact point
• Deputise for Transport Operations Manager in their absence

Job description

We are hiring for a Transport Supervisor to join our busy transport team in Cardiff!
This is a great ongoing opportunity with a global supply chain.

Responsibilities

• Manage all third-party contractors whilst on site including subcontractors, agency, and maintenance providers
• End of day checks, making sure all keys are securely stored
• Communicating any absences, VOR etc. to the Planning Team
• Enter Quality Events on the WTS System
• Representing the Transport Operation in daily Ops calls
• Act as the liaison point, becoming a single point of contact for any transport queries
• Deputise for Transport Operations Manager in their absence

The main skills we are looking for are:

• Great team player
• Transport experience required, 1-2 years minimum
• Previous supervisory experience also required
• Excellent communication skills. This role is customer facing so must be presentable and confident.
• Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
• WTS experience is desirable

You will be a vital part of the transport office team, dealing with drivers as well as the customer and your colleagues.
Previous transport planning or transport admin experience is required.
Full training is provided.

Shift Details

Monday to Friday
Day Shift – Flexible Start Times from 6am
Salary £35k
