Culina is recruiting a Transport Supervisor for the Chilled & Fresh division in the UK. You will lead the day traffic operations and the driver team, ensuring efficient planning of resources and compliance with drivers hours regulations.

The role operates on a 4 on, 4 off night shift (18:00–06:00) and requires strong leadership and operational excellence. The successful candidate will manage driver and vehicle allocation across sites, liaise with customers and management, and drive continuous

Qualifications

• Experience of working within the Transport/Logistics Industry.
• Experience in vehicle operating within FMCG distribution environment.
• Customer service experience is desirable.
• Managing budgets would be advantageous.
• Managing a transport fleet in its entirety (20+ vehicles).

Responsabilités

• Plan and lead day traffic operations and driver teams.
• Coordinate drivers, vehicles, sub-contractors and agency drivers.
• Ensure drivers hours regulations are followed and safety is prioritized.
• Communicate effectively with team and management to improve efficiency.
• Support management in customer reviews and operations meetings.
• Ensure vehicle and trailer services are completed on time and trips are fully resourced.

As part of our, Chilled & Fresh division, we have an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Transport Supervisor.To be responsible for leading the day traffic operations team and driver team in ensuring the planning of Company and / or Third Party resources, managing vehicle utilisation and ensuring Drivers are given clear and precise instructions.

Shift: 4 on 4 off nights, 18:00-06:00

Main Responsibilities of a Transport Supervisor :

• To ensure that all elements of the job are communicated effectively to all personnel especially drivers and sub-contractors.
• To plan the effective utilisation of drivers, vehicles, sub-contractors and agency drivers and ensuring that all the companies’ sites are considered when doing so
• To ensure that people under your control work within a safe environment and follow drivers hours regulations when driving
• Close liaison with fellow team members and management to discuss efficiencies and agreed operational practises.
• To assist in the control of equipment ensuring that customer requirements are met and recorded.
• To monitor RDC performances
• To liaise with customers regarding present or future developments
• To assist in the Management of the balance between own fleet and sub contract requirements
• To support and if necessary covering the Operations Manager in meetings or customer reviews
• To ensure that all vehicle and trailer services are completed on time
• To ensure all trips fully resourced on a daily basis
• To undertake additional tasks/duties as may be required by management from time to time
• To driver the culture of the site forward at all times
• To look to develop your team through training & Guidance

Qualifications

What you’ll need ...
