Job summary

DHL Supply Chain in Reading is seeking a Transport Shift Manager to lead daily transport operations and drive safe, efficient deliveries. This permanent, full-time role requires frontline leadership, a strong transport logistics background and proven team management skills.

You’ll implement transport strategies, uphold safety standards and coach your team to meet performance targets while delivering excellent service to customers and maintaining compliance across the operation.

• Take the Lead: Oversee our daily transport operations, ensuring timely and efficient deliveries to our customers
• Innovate & Optimise: Develop and implement transport strategies that enhance efficiency and drive success. Your ideas will help us stay ahead of the curve!
• Ensure Safety: Uphold the highest safety standards and compliance regulations, creating a safe and secure workplace for everyone.
• Team Builder: Develop, engage and inspire your team, creating an environment where every colleague can do their best
• Analyse & Improve: Monitor performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement. Your analytical skills will help us deliver excellence every day!

WHAT YOU'LL BRING

• Can lead from the front, winning hearts and minds and providing coaching and mentorship
• Previous transport logistics background - essential
• Previously managed a team - essential
• Have excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
• Aren't afraid to roll their sleeves up and get stuck in when needed
