Job summary

Jacobs Engineering Group offers a Summer Internship Programme in Transport Planning and Mobility Solutions. The eight-week placement runs from 28 June 2027 to 20 August 2027, across Jacobs hub offices in the UK.

You’ll work with world-class professionals, applying classroom skills to real transport challenges and gaining valuable mentoring from programme champions. You’ll connect with interns from multiple disciplines, expand your professional network, and contribute to innovative mobility

Qualifications

• On track to complete a degree in Transport Planning, Mathematics/Statistics, Urban Planning, Data/Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Natural Sciences or Civil Engineering in 2028.
• A flexible and innovative self-starter who’s passionate about developing new skills.
• Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply your skills to solve real-world problems.
• Empathy and listening skills to help you truly understand our clients’ requirements.
• A well-rounded individual with diverse experiences.

Responsibilities

• Join the Transport Planning and Mobility Solutions team within Cities & Places and Major Programmes.
• Support transport planning across modes, from policy through modelling to active travel.
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and project managers on live projects.
• Learn and apply design solutions for transport decarbonisation and public transport schemes.
