Jacobs Solutions Inc. offers a Summer Internship for a Transport Planner Intern across UK offices.

Over eight weeks, you’ll work with our Transport Planning and Mobility Solutions team, applying classroom skills to real business challenges in a collaborative environment. You’ll join a hybrid work setup, gain mentorship from programme champions and leaders, and build a broad, practical skill set in transport planning, policy analysis, and active travel design.

Qualifications

• On track to complete a degree in Transport Planning, Economics, Mathematics/Statistics, Data/Computer Science, Geography, Physics, Natural Sciences, Urban Planning or Civil Engineering in 2028.
• Flexible and innovative self‑starter passionate about developing new skills.
• Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply skills to real‑world problems.
• Empathy and listening skills to understand client requirements.
• Penultimate year student finishing degree in 2028.

Responsibilities

• Join the Transport Planning and Mobility Solutions team within Jacobs Cities & Places to support multi-modal transport planning.
• Apply classroom skills to real business challenges in a collaborative environment.
• Gain exposure to policy, modelling, active travel, streets design and junction design.
