Jacobs invites you to join its Summer Internship Programme in the Transport Planning and Mobility Solutions team. Over eight weeks in the summer of 2027, you will work with world-class professionals across UK hub offices, applying classroom skills to real business challenges.

You will gain personalised guidance from mentors and leaders, expanding your network while tackling transport planning, active travel, and decarbonisation topics within a supportive, inclusive environment.

Qualifications

• On track to complete a degree in Transport Planning, Mathematics/Statistics, Data/Computer Science, Physics, Natural Sciences, Geography, Urban Planning or Civil Engineering in 2028.
• Flexible and innovative self-starter who’s passionate about developing new skills.
• Enthusiasm and curiosity to apply your skills to solve real-world problems.
• Empathy and listening skills to understand client requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Transport Planning and Mobility Solutions team as part of Cities & Places and Major Programmes.
• Support transport planning activities across policy, modelling, active travel, streets design and project delivery.
• Engage with mentors and Programme Champions to maximise learning during the 8‑week internship.
