Job summary

Poundland & Dealz is seeking a Transport Planner at our Distribution Centre in Harlow. You’ll create and maintain efficient transport plans, ensuring stock reaches stores safely, on time and cost‑effectively.

Based in Harlow, you’ll work with Transport Operations, Supply Chain, Warehouse and Retail teams and external providers to schedule deliveries, optimise routes and trailer fill while monitoring performance and KPIs for continual improvement.

Qualifications

• CPC qualification and experience in transport planning preferred.
• Experience producing delivery schedules, route plans or resource plans.
• Strong knowledge of driver hours legislation and Working Time Directive requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily transport and trunking schedules and optimise routes.
• Monitor performance against plan and resolve variances.
• Provide planning support during incidents and peak periods.
• Produce reports and use data to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
