Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment is seeking a Transport Planner in Runcorn to plan multi-drop routes, allocate drivers and coordinate schedules. You will monitor performance, ensure compliance with legislation and company policies, and communicate with drivers, customers and internal teams.

The role offers 12-week temp-to-perm progression, a salary of £38,000–£40,000 per annum, Monday–Friday shifts, and on-site facilities including free parking and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• 12-24 months experience in a similar, fast-paced role.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
• UK resident able to travel to and from the site independently (visa sponsorship and relocation support not offered).

Responsibilities

• Plan efficient multi-drop delivery routes to maximise productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Allocate drivers to daily delivery schedules, ensuring optimal use of resources.
• Coordinate and manage daily transport planning to meet operational deadlines.
• Communicate with drivers, customers and internal teams to provide updates and resolve transport queries.
• Monitor route performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service levels.
• Ensure all transport operations comply with relevant legislation, company policies and industry standards.
