Job summary

WSP is seeking Transport Planners and related specialists to join our Transport & Mobility team in the UK & Ireland. You will lead on transport planning projects, work within multi-disciplinary teams, and help secure new work while delivering across a diverse client portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in active travel, public transport, transport programme/scheme development and/or business case development.
• Experience of developing transport-focused strategies, plans and policies.
• Experience of working with Local Authority and Combined Authority clients.
• Experience in managing and coordinating all aspects of transport assessments and strategies for major and/or complex projects.
• The ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects and tasks to meet deadlines.
• Ability to deliver presentations and liaise with diverse audiences including public sector officials and stakeholders.
• Commercial acumen and ability to manage tasks and support wider team management.

Responsibilities

• Lead on a variety of Transport Planning projects and proposals (technical and commercial inputs).
• Lead and manage tasks as part of a multi-disciplinary team to deliver multi-disciplinary projects from concept to delivery.
• Provide support in securing and delivering work for the local client portfolio.
• Undertake Transport Statements, Transport Assessments, Environmental Statement Transport Chapters, Construction Traffic Management Plans and Travel Plans, including client and Local Authority scoping discussions.
• Lead technical reviews and checking of deliverables within the team.
• Work with clients and consultants to deliver high-quality outcomes and embody WSP values.
