Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment is recruiting for a Transport Planner based in Bellshill. The role involves planning and scheduling HGV driver shifts to ensure optimal coverage and route efficiency, while monitoring hours and rest periods to stay compliant.

You will liaise with drivers and clients to meet delivery timelines and resolve real-time issues. The position is full-time, offering a generous package with pension and training opportunities, and requires approximately 37.5 hours per week with

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships internally and with clients.
• Strong time management and prioritisation abilities.

• Knowledge of driving sector requirements (WTD, HGV rules) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule HGV driver shifts for optimal coverage and route efficiency.
• Monitor driver availability, hours, and rest periods to ensure legal compliance.
• Build strong working relationships with drivers to maintain morale and communication.
• Act as liaison between drivers and client to meet delivery timelines.
• Resolve operational issues, delays or route changes in real time.
• Support training to manage infringements and driver performance.
• Provide daily briefings and debriefings to drivers and client.
