Job summary

United Rentals Europe is seeking an organized Dispatcher/Transport Planner for our Brigg branch to coordinate deliveries and collections, plan transport activities, and support fleet compliance while delivering excellent customer service.

You will work with the Field Service Foreman and Branch Operations Manager to ensure safe, efficient, and on-time operations, with strong IT skills and a proactive, solution-focused approach.

Qualifications

• Qualification in logistics, transport planning, dispatching, freight forwarding, or related field.
• Experience in logistics, transport planning or scheduling of field personnel.
• Good understanding of ADR requirements, driving/rest time regulations, and local working time legislation.
• Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and ERP/Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Delivery planning: coordinate all customer deliveries and pickups.
• Liaise with customers to agree delivery/collection times and site access.
• Collect and complete transport and on-site agreements.
• Coordinate fuel management activities for customers.
• Plan internal equipment transfers between branches.
• Arrange external non-rental transfers between suppliers and branches.
• Raise orders and manage project-related transport, cleaning and handling services.
• Create branch purchase orders and verify transport invoices.
• Enter data into ERP and MS Office; produce reports as required.
• Provide admin support to branch operations.
• Review tachograph data and highlight issues to BOM/FSF.
• Coordinate roadworthiness inspections for trucks/trailers.
• Support fleet management and identify optimization opportunities.
• Provide back-up support for branch administration when needed.
