About the job Transport Planner Days (HT)

Job Title:Transport Planner- Days

Department: Transport Operations

Location: Aghalee, Co. Armagh

Our Ideal Person

Are you well organised and have good attention to detail looking to join a growing, progressive company who has a high level of commitment to customer service. In this role, the successful candidate will need to be constantly on the ball adjusting live operations as required and be able to communicate effectively with our drivers. You will work within the transport team and will involve all aspect of the transport administration processes and coordination.

Shift Pattern:Day shift with 1 full weekend in 4 with a day off in lieu. Some nights on call also.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitoring and liaising with drivers nationally to ensure deliveries are done on time.
• Dealing with any problems that may occur such as breakdowns, discrepancies etc.
• Handover to nightshift.

Knowledge, skills and experience required

• Previous experience of working within the transport industry essential.
• Knowledge of Transport Regulations.
• Ability to communicate at all levels.
• Excellent organisational skills and prioritising workload.
• A good understanding of IT, Microsoft packages and TMS.
• Able to work as part of a team and on own initiative.
