Job summary

XPO Logistics in Widnes is seeking a Planner to join our busy transport operation on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern. You will plan and optimise daily delivery routes, co-ordinate resources and work with drivers, customers and colleagues to hit service levels.

The ideal candidate will have experience in transport, logistics or planning, strong organisational and communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem solving. High attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics, planning or coordination roles.
• Strong organisational and communication skills to manage multiple priorities.
• Experience with Transport Management Systems (TMS) or Tachomaster is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Plan and optimise daily delivery routes.
• Coordinate resources to ensure service levels are achieved safely and cost-effectively.
• Liaise with drivers, customers and operations to keep the operation moving.
• Respond to changing demands of a fast-paced logistics environment.
