An established industry player is seeking a skilled Transport Planner to join their dynamic team in Stanford-le-Hope. Location: Stanford-le-Hope, Essex
Salary: £28,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 5:30 pm
Transport: Own vehicle is essential due to the location
Noble Recruiting are working on behalf of a well-established logistics company in Stanford-le-Hope to find an experienced Transport Planner. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident planner to join a dynamic and fast-paced team managing complex UK-wide operations within international supply chains.
Plan and coordinate UK-wide collections and deliveries
Act as the main point of contact for customers, hauliers, suppliers, and internal teams (including Warehouse and Customer Service)
Ensure full legal and compliance procedures are followed
Use transport planning software to schedule deliveries, manage haulier bookings, negotiate rates and apply any additional customer charges
Support the transport function in generating new business opportunities and improving vehicle utilisation
Be flexible to support operations outside of core hours when required (calls/emails for urgent issues)
Minimum 2 years’ experience in a transport planning role
Excellent understanding of UK logistics and transport operations
Confident communicator with strong customer service focus
High IT literacy and knowledge of driver hours, tachograph and Working Time Directive regulations
Strong administrative and organisational skills
Ability to work well under pressure in a reactive environment
Knowledge of refrigerated (reefer) transport is desirable but not essential
