Position Overview

We are recruiting a Transport Planner to join our Drinks national network Planning Team in Derby. The role involves managing the planning and routing of 82 vehicles across 6 sites to ensure optimal network utilization while meeting customer requirements within budget. This is a fast-paced environment with an enthusiastic team.

Job Details

• Type: Permanent, full-time
• Hours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 18:00, with 1 weekend rota in 5

Salary & Benefits

Responsibilities

1. Plan multi-drop routes for rigid vehicles delivering beverages to client sites.
2. Collaborate with high-profile clients for efficient operations.
3. Manage live changes through remedial planning.
4. Ensure administrative work is accurate and high standard.
5. Maximize efficiencies with available resources.
6. Communicate effectively and make confident decisions.
7. Problem solve with a customer service focus.
8. Work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, including working with subcontractors.

Requirements

• Experience in transport planning in a fast-paced environment.
• Project-based experience and continuous improvement mindset.
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
• Experience with planning software such as ESP or GTS is advantageous.
• Strong interpersonal skills and computer literacy in Microsoft Office.
