A leading engineering and design firm seeks a Transport Planner in Birmingham to support various transport projects. The role involves preparing assessments and collaborating with clients to deliver sustainable solutions. Candidates should have a degree in a relevant field and experience in transport assessments. The position offers career development opportunities and a supportive team culture, along with competitive benefits such as pension and medical insurance.
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Planner to join our thriving Transport Planning team in Birmingham on a permanent basis. This role is perfect for someone with a solid understanding of transport planning— particularly development planning —and a passion for supporting public sector schemes.
Our engineers and planners have played a key role in the regeneration of major city landmarks, including Paradise, Port Loop, the Mailbox, Arena Birmingham, LEGOLAND Discovery Centre, the Bullring, and the Grand Hotel. We’ve also supported major new developments across the Midlands, such as the UK Central Hub and Blythe Valley Park.
In addition, our team contributed to the DHL Airport project, a scheme that created hundreds of jobs and delivered significant economic benefits to the local area. This project aligned with DHL’s long‑standing GoGreen initiative, focused on developing more environmentally sustainable facilities.
You will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects—from large, strategic land development proposals to smaller sites, as well as strategic infrastructure and public sector commissions. This role offers an excellent platform to develop your transport planning skills within a wider multidisciplinary environment.
This position offers significant opportunities for career progression and personal development, supported by mentoring, training and guidance towards professional qualifications.
