We're now looking for a Transport Planner to play a vital role in coordinating and providing support and information in the running of safe and efficient operations. Working within clear guidelines, you will help to achieve the operational standards and defined outcomes for your area of responsibility during a shift.

A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

• To ensure that routes are planned utilising in-house systems in order to deliver maximum cost efficiencies and service to the customer.
• Provide support to the Transport Team in all aspects of the transport-related activities, where appropriate
• To ensure customer and DHL KPI's are met by planning effectively.
• Planning of routes to maximise vehicle utilization
• Ensure service provision matches contractual and First Choice requirements and that all enquiries are dealt with promptly and professionally at all times.
• Supporting the Transport Manager with cost management, transport compliance, customer queries and site KPIs

THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

• Minimum of 2 years' proven experience in transport planning, with a solid track record of delivering effective routing solutions.
• Strong understanding of UK & Ireland geography and relevant transport regulations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook and Excel for daily planning and reporting tasks.
• Experienced in using Paragon or similar transport planning tool.
