Transport Planner - Aberdeen - Up to £45,000 per annum!

Job type: Permanent

Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30-5pm

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join a thriving and established logistics team in Aberdeen.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in domestic and international route planning as well as general haulage operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and optimise transport routes across the UK and Europe to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries
• Coordinate general haulage operations
• Managing road freight imports & exports
• Liaise with drivers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Resolve delivery issues, delays, or route changes in real time
• Provide support in sourcing and managing subcontracted transport when necessary
  
  

Skills and Experience

• Proven experience in a transport planner role, ideally within general haulage and both domestic and international logistics
• Strong knowledge of UK and European road transport regulations
• Experience with route planning software and TMS platforms
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
