About the Role

Are you passionate about using data to make a real difference to how people travel? Do you want to play a key role in shaping the future of public transport across one of the UK's most ambitious city regions?

We're looking for a Transport Performance Officer to join our Network Performance Team and help drive continuous improvement across the Liverpool City Region's multi-modal transport network. Working at the heart of a dynamic and collaborative transport team, you'll be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, quality and insightfulness of performance data that supports operational decision-making across bus, rail and other transport services.

This is far more than a reporting role. You'll analyse trends, investigate performance issues, work closely with transport operators and stakeholders, and help identify opportunities to improve reliability, punctuality and customer experience across the Metro network. You'll contribute to the development of innovative performance systems, support real-time information services, and play a vital role in delivering a world-class transport offering for the people of the Liverpool City Region.

If you enjoy solving problems, turning complex data into meaningful insights, and seeing the impact of your work on services used by thousands of people every day, this is an exciting opportunity to make a genuine difference.

You will have experience of monitoring performance, analysing complex datasets and producing meaningful reports that support operational and strategic decision-making.

You'll be highly organised, able to manage competing priorities and confident working both independently and collaboratively. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as you'll regularly work with operators, suppliers and colleagues from across the wider transport team.

You'll be comfortable using Microsoft Office applications and data systems, with the ability to identify trends, challenge existing processes and contribute innovative ideas that improve performance and efficiency. Most importantly, you'll bring enthusiasm, curiosity and a commitment to delivering excellent outcomes for customers and communities across the Liverpool City Region.

Join us and help shape a smarter, more reliable and customer-focused transport network for the future.
