Job summary

Copart is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to join the Newbury operation centre. You will lead and coach the transport team, ensuring compliant and efficient operations while meeting customer expectations.

The role requires a CPC (National or International) and a full UK driving licence, with a focus on leadership and continuous improvement. The position is based at our Newbury Operation Centre and offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no weekend work.

Qualifications

• Experience leading transport teams and coaching staff.
• CPC (National or International) and full UK Driving Licence.
• Customer service focus with internal and external customers.
• Positive, can-do attitude—motivating and engaging your teammates.
• Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and perform under pressure.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiar with computerised transport management systems.
• Proactive and flexible approach; able to work on your own.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coach the transport team to meet service levels.
• Ensure day-to-day transport operations align with SLAs with General Manager support.
• Drive continuous improvement across the transport function.
• Build cross-functional relationships across the operation centre and wider business.
• Ensure fleet and staff comply with Driving Hours and Working Time Directive.
