We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Manager to lead our logistics team at our Preston site. The role involves ensuring the efficient, safe, and legally compliant operation of the company’s transport activities, managing a team of nine.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all vehicles comply with UK transport laws and regulations, and stay updated on legal changes.
• Fleet Management: Oversee vehicle maintenance, inspections, and certifications.
• Driver Management: Recruit, train, and supervise drivers, ensuring compliance with safety policies and regulations.
• Operational Efficiency: Develop strategies to optimize delivery schedules, reduce costs, and improve service.
• Health and Safety: Maintain safety standards, investigate incidents, and implement corrective actions.
• Reporting and Budgeting: Monitor department performance, manage budgets, and ensure cost-efficiency.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
