Transport Manager – Family-run Quarry
Location: County Armagh
Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm
Responsibilities
- Customer Service & Communication:
- Answer customer calls, take orders, and address inquiries related to our aggregates, concrete, and block products.
- Provide clear, professional, and friendly communication with customers, ensuring a positive experience and high customer satisfaction.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding delivery scheduling, transport issues, and product queries.
- Logistics Coordination:
- Organise and manage delivery schedules for aggregates, concrete, and blocks, ensuring that each order is delivered on-time and in-line with customer specifications.
- Work closely with internal staff and drivers to ensure smooth execution of deliveries.
- Leverage knowledge of County Armagh and surrounding areas to effectively assign drivers to deliveries.
Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience in transport management, logistics, or a related role (ideally within the construction or quarrying industries).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively under pressure.
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Problem-solving skills with the ability to find practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
- In-depth knowledge of County Armagh’s road network and surrounding areas is highly preferred.
