Overview

Transport Manager – Family-run Quarry

Location: County Armagh

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 5:00pm

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Communication:
  • Answer customer calls, take orders, and address inquiries related to our aggregates, concrete, and block products.
  • Provide clear, professional, and friendly communication with customers, ensuring a positive experience and high customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for customers regarding delivery scheduling, transport issues, and product queries.
• Logistics Coordination:
  • Organise and manage delivery schedules for aggregates, concrete, and blocks, ensuring that each order is delivered on-time and in-line with customer specifications.
  • Work closely with internal staff and drivers to ensure smooth execution of deliveries.
  • Leverage knowledge of County Armagh and surrounding areas to effectively assign drivers to deliveries.

Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience in transport management, logistics, or a related role (ideally within the construction or quarrying industries).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively under pressure.
• Excellent organisational skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Problem-solving skills with the ability to find practical solutions in a fast-paced environment.
• In-depth knowledge of County Armagh’s road network and surrounding areas is highly preferred.
