Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead and build a new transport division in Colchester. You will own scheduling, compliance and fleet utilisation for a 5–6 vehicle operation, working with agency drivers and the wider freight team.

Initially office-based, with hybrid/remote options as the division stabilises, offering a high degree of autonomy and opportunity to shape a growing operation.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Transport Manager.
• Valid Transport Manager CPC.
• Strong knowledge of transport compliance and legislation.
• Experience managing commercial vehicles and drivers.
• Confident working independently and taking ownership.
• Proactive, dynamic and commercially minded approach.
• Ability to build and develop a transport operation from the ground up.
• Freight forwarding,haulage or courier experience beneficial but not essential.

Salary & Benefits

• 45,000- 55,000 basic salary, depending on experience.
