We are looking for an experienced Transport Manager to join a growing transport business at an exciting stage of its development.

This role would suit someone who is confident managing people, vehicles, planning, compliance and day to day transport issues, while also maintaining excellent service levels for customers.
We are looking for a Transport Manager who is hands on, commercially aware and customer focused. You will need to be comfortable dealing with drivers, customers, suppliers and internal teams, making sure the operation runs smoothly and any issues are dealt with quickly and professionally.
Experience within a fast paced, compliance focused transport environment would be beneficial, but the main priority is finding someone with strong transport management experience, good compliance knowledge and the ability to lead a busy operation properly.
This role would suit candidates based in Selby, York, Doncaster, Pontefract, Castleford, Wakefield, Hull or the surrounding areas.
As Transport Manager, you will support the safe, efficient and compliant running of the transport operation.
You will work closely with planners, drivers, customers and senior management to make sure vehicles, drivers and resources are managed effectively, service levels are maintained and customer expectations are met.
This is a hands on role, suited to someone who is organised, practical and comfortable working in a fast moving transport environment.
The successful candidate will have:
A Transport Manager CPC would be beneficial, although strong operational experience, leadership ability, compliance knowledge and customer focus will be key.
