A leading distribution company is seeking a Transport Manager to oversee day-to-day operations and ensure compliance with Road Transport Law. The role includes leadership responsibilities in managing a mixed fleet, coaching staff, and maintaining operational efficiency. Candidates should have a Transport Managers CPC qualification, experience in fleet management, and strong communication skills. The Central region. This role can be home based with travel into branches 2/3 days a week, or you can work from our branches within the Central region. If you're looking to move into a new role this would be an ideal opportunity to develop further into the world of Transport within a global business. As Transport Manager, you will be responsible for providing a consultative and supporting service for the Transport & Vehicle Fleet Operation, support the Transport & Vehicle Fleet Operation with regional coverage, focus on legal compliance, fleet maintenance procedures, cost efficiency and overall best practice, and be responsible for Operator Licencing and FORS. You will also support the Transport Administration Function to ensure all relevant fleet administration, system updates and reporting is carried out and completed, support, coach, and mentor the Transport Administration Team and any other branch/operational staff, including drivers, and ensure tachograph rules and drivers hours are complied with at branch level and manage infringement reports and provide coaching and instruction where required.
