Job summary

Recycle Southern in West Sussex is seeking a Transport Planner to join our busy transport team in Bognor Regis. You will help route planning, coordinate daily vehicle movements and support weekly delivery schedules.

The role requires strict adherence to WTD rules, tachograph compliance and health and safety policies, with duties including KPI monitoring and collaboration with drivers and customers. This is a full-time position with daytime hours and occasional Saturday shifts.

Transport Planner
Salary: £36,000 - £40,000 DOE
Monday to Friday 7am - 5pm
1 in 4 Saturdays 8am - 1pm

Working for a local company near Bognor who provide collection and distribution services to their clients and customers, you will be part of the Transport team, assisting with the weekly and daily routing and coordination of the vehicles in their fleet.
What you will be doing as a Transport Planner -

• Working as part of a team to plan the routes of each vehicle to enable drivers to achieve delivery and collections of goods.
• Ensure internal KPI's and customer specific KPI's are managed with precise collection planning.
• Adhere to compliance with WTD, Road Transport Directive, Tachograph Legislation and all H&S regulations and company policies.

Skills and experience required -

• Previous experience planning routes for HGV vehicles within the pallet network.
• Can demonstrate previous organisational skills, meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
