Job Description:

TRS Staffing Solutions has a fantastic new role for a Transport & Installation Engineer, for a major Offshore wind Farm Developer.

The role involves leading and coordinating T&I engineering work related to WTG foundations on the Offshore wind farm.

The Role

• Develop marine logistics strategy from WTG foundation fabrication locations to marshalling facilities, then to the field for installation.
• Provide T&I input into the WTG foundation design process.
• Identify suitable installation vessels capable of installing the proposed structures.
• Develop installation strategy and assess contractors' methodologies for efficiency and suitability.
• Select long-haul HTV vessels.

Your Profile

• Collaborate with the Structures team during Concept/FEED/Detailed Design to incorporate T&I requirements into foundation design.
• Design lift points and installation criteria.
• Design grillage & SF, tooling requirements.
• Coordinate with the WTG team on parameters like hub heights, water depths, and leg penetration.
• Work with the Geotech team to understand foundation installation and geotechnical constraints, risks, and methods.
• Maintain interaction with the T&I supply chain during design to ensure alignment with contractor methodologies.
• Review transportation and installation methods proposed by contractors.
