Job summary

Tangerine in London is seeking a talented Transport Designer to join our studio. You will contribute to projects from discovery through concept development, visualization and implementation, working with strategists, CMF designers, engineers and client teams.

With 2–3 years of professional experience in aviation, rail, automotive, marine or mobility sectors, you will create compelling transport and passenger experiences balancing user needs, operational requirements and commercial objectives.

Qualifications

• BA or MA degree in Transport Design, Automotive Design, Industrial Design or a related design discipline.
• Minimum 2–3 years of professional design experience within aviation, rail, automotive, marine or mobility sectors, either within a consultancy or client-side organisation.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating creativity, design thinking and high-quality design execution.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as Alias, Rhino, SolidWorks or similar.
• Strong visualisation and rendering skills.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Understanding of design development processes and production considerations.
• Ability to communicate ideas clearly and confidently both visually and verbally.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of transport design projects from concept through to implementation.
• Generate innovative user-centred concepts across aviation, rail, automotive, marine and mobility sectors.
• Develop high-quality sketches, renderings, visualisations and design presentations.
• Create and refine 3D CAD models using industry-standard software.
• Translate research and strategic direction into design solutions.
• Collaborate within multidisciplinary project teams.
• Participate in design reviews, workshops and client presentations.
• Produce storytelling and communication materials.
• Contribute to model-making, prototyping and concept evaluation.
• Stay informed on trends in transport, mobility, tech and passenger experience.
• Support business development activities and proposals.
