Job summary

Logistics Done Differently is seeking a Transport Coordinator in Thurrock to join a busy operation on a permanent basis. The role follows a 4 on 4 off night shift pattern with responsibilities spanning transport planning, driver briefs, and KPI reporting.

You will coordinate fleet and subcontractors, manage costs, and ensure compliance with regulations. A proactive communicator will thrive in this fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced transport or logistics environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
• Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook.
• Calm under pressure with good decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily transport plans and conduct driver pre-shift briefings.
• Coordinate transport operations to meet customer and company requirements.
• Manage fleet vehicles and subcontractors while controlling costs.
• Produce daily customer KPI reports and volume calculations.
• Execute transport plans and make operational adjustments to minimise stock shortages.
• Ensure compliance with Working Time Directive regulations and company procedures.
• Record and report all accidents and incidents promptly.
• Act as the first point of contact for drivers and provide operational support throughout the shift.
