We’re currently recruiting for a Transport Coordinator to be based at our site in our Sherburn in Elmet, North Yorkshire for our transport operations for our customer – British Gypsum. You will be working Monday – Friday, rotating shift of 05:30-14:00 / 13:30-22:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Co-ordinate the transport operations on site and on customer premises to meet both customer and company expectations
  • Ensure vehicle defects are reported and actioned in a timely manner
  • Ensure that all drivers are compliant with the working time directive regulations and that any accidents/incidents are investigated in a timely manner
  • Continually look to improve the service we provide offering ideas and recommendations as necessary.
  • To build and maintain a strong partnership with the transport functions and drivers to ensure regular communication is delivered.
  • Driver brief and de-briefing as well as data entry of statistics, customer reports and KPI’S

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Have a positive attitude
  • Experience working in a Transport role
  • Excellent communication skills – you’ll be speaking regularly with various stakeholders
  • Good understanding of Microsoft packages including Excel and Outlook
  • Being proactive in identifying and resolving any potential issues before they occur
