Job summary

GXO Dartford is seeking a Transport Clerk for the night shift to support Sainsbury's. The role is full-time and permanent, working on a 4 days on - 4 days off rota from 18:00 to 06:00.

Salary is £34,994.55 per year with holiday pay, pension, and access to the Hapi App platform offering discounts. There are opportunities for career development and progression within a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transport / warehouse administration or customer service environments would be advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with drivers, customers, and colleagues
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and remain calm under pressure
• Confident using Microsoft Office and transport/ logistics systems to manage data and reporting

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily delivery schedules and communicate updates with drivers, depot teams and customers
• Provide excellent customer service by handling delivery queries, resolving issues, and supporting a positive customer journey
• Monitor transport and delivery performance, including on-time deliveries, failed drops and KPI reporting
• Investigate delivery issues, identify process improvements, and support corrective actions to reduce service failures
• Maintain accurate administrative records, compliance documentation, report, and transport- related system updates

What you'll do on a typical day:
