Location:Lichfield WS14
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (30-minute lunch break)
Salary: £28,000 – £31,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Role Overview:
We are currently seeking a proactive and organised Transport Administrator / Logistics Support to join our team on a temporary to permanent basis. This is a varied role that combines administrative support for the transport and logistics department with hands-on warehouse duties, including operating a forklift.
The successful candidate will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of transport operations and supporting general logistics functions. This is a great opportunity for someone with a blend of admin and warehouse experience looking for a long-term opportunity in a supportive and busy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support day-to-day transport operations, including scheduling and tracking deliveries.
Liaise with drivers, suppliers, and internal departments to ensure timely and accurate dispatches.
Complete all relevant transport documentation accurately (e.g. delivery notes, manifests).
Maintain transport and warehouse records using internal systems and Microsoft Office.
Operate a forklift as required to assist with loading/unloading goods and general warehouse duties.
Assist in inventory management and stock control.
Ensure compliance with health & safety and transport regulations.
Provide general support to the logistics and warehouse team as needed.
Candidate Requirements:
Previous experience in a transport/logistics admin or coordination role.
Valid forklift license (counterbalance or reach).
Comfortable working in both office and warehouse environments.
Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word.
Good communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask.
Reliable, flexible, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
