Ecopart UK is seeking a motivated Transport Administrator to join our expanding team. You will coordinate vehicle purchases, collections and deliveries, manage transport schedules and maintain accurate records, while ensuring health & safety and compliance requirements are met.

The ideal candidate will have administration or coordination experience within transport or automotive sectors, strong IT skills (Excel and Outlook) and a proven ability to manage multiple tasks with a customer-focused

  • Experience organising and prioritising multiple tasks in a busy working environment.
  • Experience in transport, logistics, automotive or haulage.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate vehicle purchases, collections and deliveries.
  • Manage auction departures and associated transport arrangements.
  • Schedule collections for third-party and contracted vehicles.
  • Liaise with hauliers, customers, suppliers and transport providers.
  • Coordinate parts delivery vans and vehicle movements.
  • Arrange and monitor vehicle and lorry servicing, maintenance and repairs.
  • Operate the weighbridge and maintain accurate records.
  • Handle cash and payments accurately in line with company procedures.
  • Respond to telephone and email enquiries professionally.
  • Assist walk-in customers and provide excellent customer service.
  • Maintain company social media, including Facebook, where required.
  • Maintain accurate transport, vehicle and compliance records.
  • Follow all company, Health & Safety and legislative requirements.
  • Report operational, vehicle or compliance issues promptly.
  • Carry out other reasonable duties as required by the Operations Manager.

Job description

We are looking for a motivated and reliable Transport Administrator to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong mechanical knowledge, hands-on experience, and an interest in the automotive industry.

About the Role

The Transport Administrator is responsible for coordinating and supporting the company’s transport, vehicle collection, delivery and logistics activities. The role ensures that transport operations are organised efficiently, records are maintained accurately, and relevant Health & Safety and legislative requirements are followed.

Key Responsibilities

The following are core duties of the role, though not exhaustive:

  • Coordinate vehicle purchases, collections and deliveries.
  • Manage auction departures and associated transport arrangements.

  • Experience using transport, fleet or vehicle management systems.
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Outlook.
